Now is not the time to rest on accomplishments. It is the time to embrace change and transformation and go to new heights. . I love the online world for so many reasons but trying to reach a large audience and build a following of readers for my book, not just “not engaged” likes on Facebook, and the occasional shared video or shared post is not a viable working strategy.

I have been at this for a year now in the virtual world and have very moderate sales to say the least and I don’t think it is the quality of the book because every reader loves it and I have been awarded a B.R.A.G medallion so I know it is a high quality literary powerhouse of a book. I think maybe it is time to take the book into the real world of people – kids, moms and dads who read to their children, and focus my attention there and reach my audience that way. There are no shortages of people in Austin, Texas who would love this book if they got their hands on it.

After six years of writing and one year of online world marketing I think I am ready to really begin my journey as a best selling author, not just in theory or in my head. Now it is time to take things to the next level. The reality is this. I accomplished goal number one which was to write and publish a great children’s novel. I accomplished goal number two which was to sell at least 100 copies. I knew if I could sell 100 I could sell 1000, and if I could sell 1000 then I could sell 10,000 and so on. The average book written and published will never sell over 5,000 copies. So that is my next goal 5k sold, then 10,000. Once I get to those levels the game is nearly won because the momentum shift will work in my favor.
